Give glory to God whose power, working in us, can do infinitely more than we can ask or imagine: Glory to him from generation to generation in the Church, and in Christ Jesus for ever and ever. Amen. (Ephesians, 3:20, 21)

At Camp Marshall:

Camp Olympics
By The Rev. Mikayla Dunfee
Camp Olympics were always a highlight of my own camp-related memories. So
this summer, when I heard we were going to have Camp Olympics at high school camp, I couldn’t forego the opportunity to form a “clergy” team with Fr. Sadie.
For the synchronized dance/swim event, we had the brilliant idea to choreograph an interpretive baptism while singing “Wade in the Water.” The plan was dependent on my toddler complying with being waved about Simba-style and occasionally dunked in the lake. I mean… when I write it out like that, I see the error in my ways, but at the time, I was shocked when Ana backed out at the last minute. Thankfully, the intrepid Nelly offered to step in… and to say that the desired effect was not meant would be a supreme understatement. It was so much better. Sadie and I couldn’t speak for laughing, as we tried to “toss and dunk” Janelle back and forth in lyrical blessing. I’m sure the campers thought we were insane—and we probably are—but my Lord, was it fun!
Thank God for baptisms! Thank God for Camp Olympics! Thank God for Camp!
